Kercher and Bowring reign supreme

DEAN Kercher has won the Au­gust Monthly Medal fol­low­ing a siz­zling round of Whit­sun­day Golf at the week­end.

Beryl Miller was back on course af­ter re­cov­er­ing from a shoul­der prob­lem while Brad Bowring was on fire once again.

But Sun­day was all about Kercher, who carded 60 to fin­ish ahead of Scotty Wardroper (72).

Rod Wecker had the best gross score while guest player Lloyd Kingston won the long­est drive.

The men’s B-grade ti­tle went to Bowring, with a crack­ing nett score of 61.

Wilf Her­weg was runner-up with 64 while Mal Carter had best gross score and long­est drive went to Reg Kercher.

The ladies win­ner was Ti­ina Rand­mae, who carded 66 to fin­ish ahead of Beryl Miller (75).

Jac­qui Wall had best gross score while the long­est drive went to Linda Wardroper.

The near­est-the-pins went to Reg Kercher (no. 9), Rod Wecker (2 and 13), Dean Kercher (16), Brad Bowring (2 and 16) and Ti­ina Rand­mae (16).

The Monthly Medal Guz­zlers Cup was won by the Bgrade win­ner Bowring.

This Sun­day will be an­other stroke com­pe­ti­tion with points ac­cu­mu­lat­ing to­wards se­lec­tion for the Pres­i­dent’s Cup in Novem­ber.

GOOD DAY FOR IT: B Grade win­ner Brad Bowring, ladies win­ner Ti­ina Rand­mae and A-Grade runner-up Scotty Wardroper.
