Two awards in one night
McNEILL Building are proving to be one of the premiere construction companies in the Whitsundays after walking out of the Master Builders home and construction awards night in Mackay with not one but two awards earlier this month.
They won their first prize for the category of Individual Home up to $275,000.
The home they built that was put up for nomination was a two-bedroom home in Proserpine with an open-plan.
McNeill Building said what got them over the line was the final product and value for money.
They also won The Ken and Nola Clark Perpetual Award for Quality Workmanship.
This award acknowledged dedication to excellence, project management skills, client relations and producing an exceptionally finished project.
McNeill Building was awarded for their outstanding workmanship at their Lucas and Andrews’s project at Cannonvale.
The four-bedroom home was situated on a sloping block – part slab and part stump.
It featured two living rooms, two bathrooms and a double lock-up garage.
McNeill Building owners and operators Ross and Trish McNeill said the awards were an example of their overall commitment to the building industry in the Whitsundays.
Since founding the business, Mr McNeill has moved into the specialty role of design and estimating, making McNeill Building a more onestop-shop for all your building requirements.
Mr McNeill has been a qualified carpenter for 33 years and together with his partner founded the business in 1991; Mrs McNeill said there’s not much Mr McNeill doesn’t know.
“To put it simply, what Ross doesn’t know about building and construction isn’t worth knowing,” she laughed.
This was the third year in a row that McNeill Building entered the Master Builders home and construction awards, winning House of the Year last year for a home worth up to two million dollars.
The construction company has picked up a total of seven awards in the last three years.
