80s fun on Friday night
FLOURO, tulle, hair perms and bad dance moves are just some of the things you can expect tomorrow night at Logan’s Adventure Playground ‘80s night and slave auction at the Anchor Bar at the Terraces in Airlie Beach.
Tickets are still available for the event that features a celebrity slave auction with known Whitsunday faces.
Money raised will determine just how big stage two of the construction of the proposed playground will be and ensure it happens before 2015.
Locals are urged to dig out the hair crimpers and leather and don their best Bonnie Tyler and Meatloaf karaoke voices.
The event is set to be a night of flashback fun, even featuring food from the fondly [or not so fondly] remembered era.
Local band Tropic Temple will be playing iconic songs from the time including those tracks you just love to hate.
The family event will see local figures Ray White Whitsunday principal Mark Beale, Whitsunday MP Jason Costigan and Member for Dawson George Christensen up for grabs at the celebrity slave auction.
So whether it’s getting these known faces pruning the garden or doing the dishes – the choice is yours tomorrow night. Prizes include three-night charter worth $1800 aboard Coco, a Jeanneau 35 Sun Odyssey Legende, family trip to reef Cruise Whitsundays, photo package from Videos Downunder and art work from Suzi Hancock.
If you don’t plan on going solo, hit that high with the VIP tables that are still available.
Tickets are available at Whitsunday Tickets for a fun night of music, entertainment, buffet and a drink on arrival – plus the chance to win prizes for best dressed.
COME ON EILEEN: Michelle Tatterson, Kylie Allen and Kellie Chart in a sneak peak of tomorrow night’s fun at the Logan's Adventure Playground's ‘80s night at Anchor Bar.
