WHIT­SUN­DAY GOLF

A FOUR-BALL cham­pi­onship was the or­der of the day for Whit­sun­day golfers at the week­end.

Sun­day saw the 2014 four­ball cham­pi­ons crowned in Ernie Hol­stein and Mark Win­ter (50).

David Hoy and Ian Giles came in sec­ond with 51, while An­nie Kercher and Joanne Moyni­han (57) and Wilf Her­weg and Ti­ina Rand­mae (59) rounded out the top four.

Near­est-the-pins went to Kym Hill (no. 9), Ernie Hol­stein (13), Wayne Temby (2), Ross Richards (16), David Hoy (2), Reg Kercher (16), An­nie Kercher (16) and Ti­ina Rand­mae (2).

De­pend­ing on num­bers, this Sun­day will see a two-ball am­brose held at the Proser­pine Golf Club.

Whit­sun­day golfers will play the back nine first with tee-off set for 7.30am.

On Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 26 the Monthly Medal sin­gle stroke com­pe­ti­tion will be held.
