Lo­cal band to salute at Paddy’s

WHIT­SUN­DAY reg­gae band Sun Salute will hit Paddy’s Shenani­gans this week­end for a se­ries of groovy per­for­mances.

The Air­lie Beach group will per­form on Fri­day and Satur­day from 11pm un­til late.

Sun Salute, who played at this year’s Whit­sun­day Reef Fes­ti­val, are a four-piece band which boasts gui­tar, drums, bass, keys and trum­pet.

Fea­tur­ing Hay­den Weke, Jar­rah Kurth, Dy­lan Ham­mond, John Lil­lis and Chris Boo­roff, Sun Salute is a band with a mis­sion to bring its love of reg­gae, neo soul, jazz and hip-hop to the com­mu­nity.

The band, which started its jour­ney in Falls Creek, Vic­to­ria, plays a col­lec­tion of orig­i­nals and cov­ers over a va­ri­ety of gen­res. Paddy’s Shenani­gans’ Trevor Green said he looked for­ward to host­ing Sun Salute this week­end and that they had been popular at the venue in the past.
