Local band to salute at Paddy’s
WHITSUNDAY reggae band Sun Salute will hit Paddy’s Shenanigans this weekend for a series of groovy performances.
The Airlie Beach group will perform on Friday and Saturday from 11pm until late.
Sun Salute, who played at this year’s Whitsunday Reef Festival, are a four-piece band which boasts guitar, drums, bass, keys and trumpet.
Featuring Hayden Weke, Jarrah Kurth, Dylan Hammond, John Lillis and Chris Booroff, Sun Salute is a band with a mission to bring its love of reggae, neo soul, jazz and hip-hop to the community.
The band, which started its journey in Falls Creek, Victoria, plays a collection of originals and covers over a variety of genres. Paddy’s Shenanigans’ Trevor Green said he looked forward to hosting Sun Salute this weekend and that they had been popular at the venue in the past.
