Kart days are finishing up for the year
KARTERS from the Whitsundays, Mackay and Toowoomba karting clubs hit the Whitsunday Raceway on Sunday for one of the club’s final kart days for the year.
Although the weather was quite miserable Sunday, the sun eventually made its way out for optimum racing weather.
Whitsunday Motosports Club kart president Adam Stroud said the kart day was filled with quality local racers.
“Best performing local was Max Deguara in the cadets with Lara Hadlow and brothers Louie and Ben Archer showing some very strong improvements and well on pace now,” he said.
There was plenty of action in the Sportsman Heavy with Leo Rodriguez flooring each round. The Whitsunday Motosports Club will host two more kart days, one on November 9 and the other on November 30, to round out the year.
At the next kart day double points will be offered to the club championships which could go to any of the four drivers in the senior division.
The Whitsunday Motosports Club is still on the look out for volunteers to assist with meetings and race days.
