Ocean Rafting enters Hall of Fame
WHITSUNDAY tour operator, Ocean Rafting, enjoyed success on Saturday night at the Whitsunday Tourism Awards held at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre. Ocean Rafting took home the award for Tour and/or Transport Operator for the third year in a row, securing the coveted Hall of Fame award for that same category.
Ocean Rafting owners Peter and Jan Claxton were proud of the achievement.
“Achieving Hall of Fame success and recognition on a local level is something we are very proud of,” Mrs Claxton said.
“We have such a fabulous team of people who work for Ocean Rafting and love showcasing the Whitsundays to the world. As well as thanking our wonderful staff we must extend a big thank you to everyone who supports our operation, from local agents, industry partners and of course our guests.”
Ocean Rafting has previously also won awards for the Tour and/or Transport category on a national and state level.
The potential to achieve Hall of Fame success on a state level is also a possibility when Ocean Rafting vies for the Tour and/or Transport award at the Queensland Tourism Awards in November, after winning for the past two years.
Ocean Rafting is continuing its growth and development, with a new boat due for delivery within the next two months, bringing the Whitsunday fleet of vessels to five.
The fifth vessel will ensure the company offers both daily tours and private charters for guests departing the mainland, islands and visiting cruise ships.
Ocean Rafting operates two exciting day tour options to some of the Whitsundays most desirable destinations.
The Northern Exposure and Southern Lights tours are both fully guided and include an exhilarating ride to Whitehaven Beach, pristine snorkelling reefs and guided Whitsunday island National Parks walks.
