More awards for Day spa
THE TEAM at Airlie Day Spa and Hair Studio were honoured on Saturday night to win two separate categories in the Whitsunday Tourism and Business Awards, for Health and Wellbeing and Specialised Tourism Services.
General Manager of Airlie Day Spa, Ian Stone, said the event was “a great night”.
“To be enrolled into the Hall of Fame in both categories after three years of consecutive wins is an ongoing testament to the great team we have and the fantastic support of the local community and businesses,” he said.
Meanwhile Airlie Day Spa owner Julie Cauchi said, “What really made the night for us is to have one of our own team being recognised winning Employee of the Year.”
Hannah Denham, who started as a trainee with Airlie Day Spa when she left school, has worked her way up in the business to be one of the managers of Airlie Day Spa and Airlie WaxPot, and now shares her knowledge and skills providing training and mentoring to new therapists and trainees. Both Ms Cauchi and Mr Stone congratulated all the entrants, finalists and winners in this year’s awards, saying it was great to see so many businesses enter and be recognised for their outstanding work.
