Wild Ones show off their wild dance moves

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY KIDS -

THE kids from Wild Ones Adventure Program were in for a treat when British professional dancer Lauren Elizabeth Wormald called into the Whitsunday PCYC on Thursday night to run a free hip-hop workshop.

The children learnt a whole hip-hop routine to Redfoo’s latest hit New Thang.

The evening concluded with a special performance for parents and guardians.

Wild Ones coordinator Ron Petterson said the children had a great time getting their boogie on with instructor Lauren.

“When we asked if they wanted her to come back, they nearly burst our ear drums,” he said.

Ms Wormald runs her own dance school called L.E Academy at the Fit Chick’s gym at Whitsunday Business Centre in Cannonvale.

Ms Wormald was delighted to be invited by Wild Ones to teach a class.

“Dancing is my passion and I am committed to sharing that with each and every person in the Whitsundays. I can’t wait to come back,” she said.

Next week Wild Ones will be visiting Cannonvale Beach on Saturday to take part in Reefblitz.
