Open day at Conway Beach Tourist Park

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL IN THE WHITSUNDAYS -

WHITSUNDAY residents are invited to a garage sale and open day at Conway Beach Tourist Park this weekend.

This Sunday is a day for locals to remember what facilities the park has on offer, including a beach just 200m from the park entrance.

Its facilities include a swimming pool - with a beach entrance and water slide - a water park, two jumping pillows, spring toys, basketball hoops as well as a park train that runs a couple of times a day.

The garage sale and open day will celebrate the park’s 35 years of operation and the significant improvements the park has undergone in the last decade.

The garage sale will feature local handmade knick-knacks, with visitors certain to pick up some bargains.

Conway Beach Tourist Park operator Debbie Brown said the open day would remind locals of the amenities available at the park.

“We are hoping that all the people that have rung over the years asking to use the facilities will make the most of this opportunity and come and have a look around. Perhaps one day they will also come for a holiday,” she said.

Local stall holders are invited to take part in the Conway Beach Tourist Park open day and garage sale for a small fee of $10. For more information contact the park on 4947 3147.
