WHITSUNDAY Police were forced to give chase when a 28-year-old Maroochydore man ran from them last week. At 11.45pm on October 25, police were driving along the Airlie main street when they saw the man drop his pants and bare his buttocks at them. The officers returned on foot but the man decamped and a chase through laneways and over property fences ensued.
Officer in Charge of the Whitsunday Police Station, Acting Senior Sergeant Brad Teys, said the man eventually turned to confront police, who presented their Tasars.
The man has been charged with wilful damage and wilful exposure and will be banned from the Airlie Safe Night Precinct for three months.
