Last weekend two teams travelled to Bowen to contest the Bowen Classic Fours. Nathan Dodds, Martin Corr, Wayne Handley and Shane Spann were in contention for the major prize; however fell short, losing the last game by just one shot.
A draw would’ve put them in first; however the team was forced to settle for second place with four wins from the weekend.

Fran Porter, John Henderson and Heather Brown took down John Lahney, Gail Camm and Philip Brown 22-16 while Trudy Hanne, Dot Hinschen and Barry Zillmann ousted Norma Daniels, Arthur Williams and Maree Daffara 24-11.
The Val and Jean De Boni Day will be played on Saturday, November 8.
Those interested in playing are urged to register for the mixed fours competition.
