Amcal offers free summer skin checks
AMCAL Pharmacy Cannonvale has been running a health campaign to raise awareness about skin health and the damage caused by prolonged exposure to UV radiation.
As the weather heats up, Amcal Pharmacy Cannonvale’s experienced pharmacists recommend everyone to come in store to get any suspicious moles, freckles or lesions checked.
Amcal Pharmacy Cannonvale pharmacist Lee McLennan said it’s important for locals living in tropical north Queensland climates to get regular skin checks.
Amcal Pharmacy Cannonvale are also currently offering their customers a free in-store skin profile using a SK-02A Skin Analyser.
The SK-02A Skin Analyser measures and provides customers with a profile reading for three key areas of skin health: skin moisture or hydration, the skin protective barrier and skin smoothness.
Mr McLennan said after the reading with the SK-02A Skin Analyser, Amcal Pharmacy Cannonvale pharmacists will then offer customers expert recommendations for improvements. “This health campaign is a new way to offer a unique level of service to our pharmacy customers. Many customers experience dry and/or sensitive skin and are seeking ways to better manage these conditions,” he said.
