Am­cal of­fers free sum­mer skin checks

AM­CAL Pharmacy Can­non­vale has been run­ning a health cam­paign to raise aware­ness about skin health and the dam­age caused by pro­longed ex­po­sure to UV ra­di­a­tion.

As the weather heats up, Am­cal Pharmacy Can­non­vale’s ex­pe­ri­enced phar­ma­cists rec­om­mend ev­ery­one to come in store to get any sus­pi­cious moles, freck­les or le­sions checked.

Am­cal Pharmacy Can­non­vale phar­ma­cist Lee McLen­nan said it’s im­por­tant for lo­cals liv­ing in trop­i­cal north Queens­land cli­mates to get reg­u­lar skin checks.

Am­cal Pharmacy Can­non­vale are also cur­rently of­fer­ing their cus­tomers a free in-store skin pro­file us­ing a SK-02A Skin Anal­yser.

The SK-02A Skin Anal­yser mea­sures and pro­vides cus­tomers with a pro­file read­ing for three key ar­eas of skin health: skin mois­ture or hy­dra­tion, the skin pro­tec­tive bar­rier and skin smooth­ness.

Mr McLen­nan said after the read­ing with the SK-02A Skin Anal­yser, Am­cal Pharmacy Can­non­vale phar­ma­cists will then of­fer cus­tomers ex­pert rec­om­men­da­tions for im­prove­ments. “This health cam­paign is a new way to of­fer a unique level of ser­vice to our pharmacy cus­tomers. Many cus­tomers ex­pe­ri­ence dry and/or sen­si­tive skin and are seek­ing ways to bet­ter man­age th­ese con­di­tions,” he said.
