Car broken into
WHITSUNDAY Police are reminding locals to lock up their cars and homes following the theft of items from a car in Cannonvale last week. The car was broken into at a Cannonvale address some time between February 28 and March 1. A GPS device, battery charger, sunglasses and loose change were stolen.
Officer in Charge of the Whitsunday Police Station, Acting Senior Sergeant Simon Walter, said people should lock their cars and front doors even if they were at home and in the back yard. He said any suspicious behaviour could always be reported to Crime Stoppers or police.
