Mother daughter team continue to power on

Whitsunday Times - - FEATURE | WOMEN IN BUSINESS -

BOOKKEEPING and Taxation Solutions is a motherdaughter team with the aim to provide affordable, professional and accurate solutions to business tax and record keeping.

They offer a full administration service to free up business owners and allow them do what they do best, while they look after the tedious job of keeping accurate records and dealing with ATO deadlines.

The business was started by Mrs Julie Roberts in 1990 and was originally bookkeeping only.

Mrs Roberts’ daughter Rachel went down south to obtain her degree at university and, after working for a large firm in Toowoomba for 10 years, came home and joined her mother and introduced the preparation of income tax returns, financial statements, company and SMSF set ups after joining her mother.

Still powering through and climbing the career ladder, Rachel is currently completing her CPA.

Mrs Roberts obtained her Diploma in Advanced Ac- counting while doing 10 years of training and obtaining practical experience with another major accounting practice in Airlie Beach before the mother and daughter joined forces and renamed the business Bookkeeping and Taxation Solutions.

They now have their own office in the main street of Airlie Beach and pride themselves on being the only accountants in the Airlie Beach CBD.

Bookkeeping and Taxation Solutions has a large client base, ranging from companies, trusts and SMSF, to sole traders and individuals.

Many of their clients who have left town, still use their services via email and post because they are so happy with the experience and expertise we have shown them.

In fact, most of their clients have become their friends, so they do the hard yards, going above and beyond the call of duty to get the best possible outcome for all their clients.
