Mosaic workshop to be a smash hit

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL. -

MOSAICS are making a comeback in the Whitsundays with Everything Mosaic holding their first ever workshop.

The class will teach participants the basics of making your own mosaic, even allowing the budding artists to create their own stepping stone to take home.

Everything Mosaic owner Jacqueline Quadrio said not only was mosaic work enjoyable but environmentally conscious as well.

“It’s a fun thing to do, but also if you’re a person who likes to recycle a lot of things it’s a good thing to do,” she said.

“I know in my household if one of the kids breaks a plate I’m excited.”

Mrs Quadrio said the classes were meant to be informative, but also a chance to let your hair down.

“It’s not a serious class, this one in particular is for beginners,” she said. “It’s just the way I chill out and relax. “Put the tunes on and off I go.”
