Kick up your heels with bush dancing
IT’LL BE on for young and old at the Uniting Church Hall in Proserpine come 7pm on March 28, with the return of Bush Dancing.
Local musician Bob Barford said Australian, Scottish and Irish dances are on the agenda, with live musical accompanient and some singalong songs to boot.
“We’ll start with the simpler dancers and we’ll get more complex as the night goes on,” he said.
Mr Barford also said he would be teaching people the dances, so there was no need to feel left out.
This year, Mr Barford said he would try and host a bush dance night once every three months.
“Last time we held bush dances, by the time we got into the hall it was packed,” he said.
“It’s a really good little hall for bush dances. It’s got a nice timber floor, which is good for dancing on.
