Tennis aces come up trumps in Townsville
FOUR Proserpine tennis players successfully chased success in Townsville over the weekend.
Seth Trinder led a group of locals at the Kalynda Chase Open Tournament on Saturday, winning the under-14 singles and doubles titles. Mika Stimson was also strong in the under-15 girls singles and doubles events while Mia Trinder produced good form in the under-10s. Callum Ogilvie Alcock was the final member of the Proserpine quartet, serving up a storm in the under-12s.
The youngsters will continue their heavy training schedule over the coming weeks before travelling to Cairns where they will represent North Queensland in the School State Trials.
Seth and Mika will be joined by Amy Hungerford, who will take on the best players in the state.
