TWO tourists, aged 19 and 20, were arrested by Whitsunday Police after climbing onto a roof in Airlie Beach last week.
Police have alleged that at 12.35am last Thursday, both men climbed onto the roof of Nomads while affected by alcohol. Once on the roof they began shouting at pedestrians before being encouraged to make their way back to the ground safely.
Officer in Charge of the Whitsunday Police Station, Acting Senior Sergeant Simon Walter, said this “just highlights the drunken stupidity”. The men will appear in the Proserpine Magistrate’s Court on March 30.
