New Bridge club ready to play
A new bridge club has now been formed in the Whitsundays.
Ten people attended a meeting on Tuesday and the Airlie Beach Bridge Club is ready to start with games organised for next Tuesday night and Friday morning.
Dale Hell is the president and Brian O’Rourke is acting as vicepresident.
Treasurer of the club is Trish Rouse and Linda Priday will take on the role of secretary.
Official committee members are Jenny Henkel and Eric Bottle.
There is a registration fee of $20 and games will cost $5 for members and $6 for non-members.
The club will trial the Beach Plaza on the Esplanade in Airlie Beach as a venue for games.
They will meet on Tuesday nights at 7pm and on Friday mornings at 10am. Lessons will be available through Dale Hell either once or twice a week for 4-8 weeks starting soon.
