New Bridge club ready to play

A new bridge club has now been formed in the Whit­sun­days.

Ten peo­ple at­tended a meet­ing on Tues­day and the Air­lie Beach Bridge Club is ready to start with games or­gan­ised for next Tues­day night and Fri­day morn­ing.

Dale Hell is the pres­i­dent and Brian O’Rourke is act­ing as vi­cepres­i­dent.

Trea­surer of the club is Tr­ish Rouse and Linda Pri­day will take on the role of sec­re­tary.

Of­fi­cial com­mit­tee mem­bers are Jenny Henkel and Eric Bot­tle.

There is a reg­is­tra­tion fee of $20 and games will cost $5 for mem­bers and $6 for non-mem­bers.

The club will trial the Beach Plaza on the Es­planade in Air­lie Beach as a venue for games.

They will meet on Tues­day nights at 7pm and on Fri­day morn­ings at 10am. Lessons will be avail­able through Dale Hell ei­ther once or twice a week for 4-8 weeks start­ing soon.
