Madammes take out Can’t Touch This

“MADAMMES” were too good for “Can’t Touch This” on Mon­day night at Whit­sun­day Sportspark, win­ning their en­counter by two points.

Madammes ended up edg­ing out Can’t Touch This five points to three in a game that went end to end.

A com­bined team of Eclipse B and Jets de­feated Whit­sun­day Food six points to one, the Young Guns took out Air­lie Mixed five points to one, Ray White de­feated Wolves seven points to three, and Eclipse C romped home against Chris­tian Col­lege 11 points to three.

Af­ter a shaky start, stu­dents from Chris­tian Col­lege im­proved to tie the sec­ond half af­ter set­tling down to some struc­tured play and hold­ing the ball for some ruck­ing for the first four touches of each set of six.

The com­bined team of Din­goes and Har­vey Nor­man for­feited to Amal­ga­mated af­ter not one per­son from the Din­goes/Har­vey Nor­man side turned up to play.

Whit­sun­day Touch is also look­ing for more ju­niors and se­niors to play.

“We have the same num­ber of teams as last year but we’re al­ways try­ing to push it for­ward and get some more,” Whit­sun­day Touch or­gan­iser Mark Beale said.
