Ladies to tart up art expo

A NUM­BER of lo­cal artists are busy fin­ish­ing their pieces that will be on dis­play next week­end at the Glouces­ter Hid­den Tal­ent Art Expo at Hy­de­away Bay next week­end.

It will ex­hibit paint­ings, photography, jew­ellery, fi­bre art and quilt­ing at the Glouces­ter Sports and Recre­ation Club­house (GSRS) over the Easter Week­end (April 4 and 5).

One of the arts groups set to ex­hibit their work is the tex­tile artists (TARTS) of Hy­de­away Bay.

TARTS are a group of ladies who like try­ing ev­ery­thing new.

They cur­rently sit at 18 mem­bers and meet on the sec­ond Wed­nes­day of each month.

The tex­tile artists of Hy­de­away Bay will also be con­duct­ing three demon­stra­tions next Satur­day.

Avril Ayling, Di John­son and Lynne Fritz will be do­ing some dry felt­ing at 9am, Bar­bara Hill and Tess Cum­mins will con­duct a wet felt­ing work­shop at 10.30am and Kay Bond will host bead­ing and jew­ellery mak­ing at 11am.
