Mills takes out B-grade with im­pres­sive score

KEVIN Mills and Penny Wardroper stole the show at the Proser­pine Golf Club on Sun­day, card­ing im­pres­sive scores in the stable­ford com­pe­ti­tion.

Mills won the men’s Bgrade com­pe­ti­tion, amass­ing an im­pres­sive 45 points on the day while ev­ery­thing Penny touched turned to gold on her way to 35 points and the long­est drive.

Dean Kercher (38 points) claimed the A-grade prize ahead of Ross Richards (36) while Wayne Temby had the best gross score.

Mark Win­ter (36) fin­ished be­hind Mills, who also won the long­est drive, in B-grade, while Mal Carter was awarded the best gross score award.

Jac­qui Wall was sec­ond in the ladies’ di­vi­sion while Ti­ina Rand­mae carded the best gross score.

The long­est drives were shared be­tween Penny (no. 6) and Pauline Red­path.

Near­est-the-pins went to Rod Wecker (9), Ron Jamieson (13), Ross Richards (2), Bren­don Me­harry (16) and Penny Wardroper (16).

On Sun­day the Whit­sun­day Golf Club will con­test the March Monthly Medal.
