Heartfelt thanks

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY VIEWS -

I WRITE to publicly express our heartfelt thanks to Ian Moss of Whitsunday Diesel and Marine at Jubilee Pocket.

A couple of weeks ago we had a truck turn up at the Sportspark with dozens of donated concrete sleepers that we intend using around the park. We needed the truck unloaded and Ian was approached at the last minute as the closest business with a forklift.

He immediately provided both his equipment and his time to help with the unloading, and when asked for his invoice, he waved it off.

It’s this sort of selfless donation of time, equipment and money that is integral in building not-for-profit associations, and this sort of action forms the backbone of a strong local community.

Thanks to Mossy and all the other volunteers and businesses that help the Whitsunday Sportspark. Justin Butler,

Secretary, Whitsunday Sportspark
