Eyes on the ball for fundraiser

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL. -

FUNDRAISERS for children and ladies take place regularly but now, thanks to the Parent Action Group, the men will have their moment in the sun.

The Ball or Nothing Sportsman’s Dinner will be an unmissable event for the blokes, with guest speaker Mark Geyer sure to rattle off hilarious stories.

The NRL champion, who played more than 130 games for the Penrith Panthers and also represented Australia and New South Wales, will headline the night while JJ Rox will provide the live entertainment.

It’s not all fun and games though, with a wealth of sports memorabilia and prizes to be auctioned off. comes to speakers and memorabilia but we’ve also got local business and personalities involved,” she said.

“A lot of the prizes have been sourced from interstate but as always it’s the local businesses and people that really make the difference.

“We really appreciate the local community for helping us pull it all together. They’re very generous and without them the event couldn’t happen and we would be a long way off getting those funds for stage 2.”

For more information, see the Logan’s Adventure Playground Facebook page. Tickets are available at Reef Gateway Hotel and www.whitsundaytickets.com.au.
