NQ’s best rev up for glory
THE Whitsundays played host to round one of the North Queensland Khanacross Championship last weekend, with about 25 competitors creating plenty of dust at Tonker Park.
Competitors travelled from Rockhampton, Capella, Cairns, Mossman, Mareeba, Townsville and Mackay, to join with locals from Proserpine.
Proserpine’s Tas Taylor excelled in his Eunos, placing second in his class of over 2000cc. Another standout was Arthur Ramm in his clubman, taking out the first round of the championship and running an incredible five seconds faster than the rest of the field.
Rounds two, three and four of the championship series will be held at Mareeba, Townsville and Mossman later in the year.
