WHITSUNDAY’S aspiring Aussie rules stars will get the opportunity to learn from the best, with the Bald Eagles set to take over the Auskick reins.

The Whitsunday Bald Eagles have stepped up to host the local program for under-10s which will kick-off tomorrow from 5.30pm.

The Whitsunday Sportspark will host the weekly sessions and the Bald Eagles have extended an open invitation for those interested to come along and register.

“It’s a great opportunity to have the AFL grandfathers handing on their experience to the Auskick under-10s,” Bald Eagles’ president Jack Lumby said.

“I am so lucky to have so many keen team-mates who are so willing to hand on our years of experience and love of AFL. There is a bit of fun around the Baldies all the time and it is this sense of fun and adventure that we wish to share with our Auskick kids and their parents.

“It’s not only for the boys either. I have many great memories of my daughter Samantha and me being involved many years ago.”
