Fun art workshops suited to all strokes
SALES agent for First National by day and an artist in her spare time, Sharon Dewsbury is also passionate about teaching art.
Last Thursday, Ms Dewsbury enjoyed doing just that at the Art Whitsundays gallery and showroom.
“I love teaching,” she said. “If you want to learn something, you teach it.”
Ms Dewsbury describes her art workshops as casual, relaxed and fun, and designed for professionals and amateurs alike.
“There is no pressure,” she said. “You don’t need to know what you are doing.”
Ms Dewsbury’s classes are among a series of exciting new workshops planned at the gallery.
Others coming up include Learning to See to Achieve Likeness with Linda Forrester on Sunday, May 24, from 10am–2.30pm.
There will also be Water Colour Landscapes with Sharon Dewsbury on Thursday, May 21, and Water Colour Landscapes on Thursday, June 4, from 10am–12.30pm.
All the art workshops are affordably priced, with tickets from $10–15 and all materials included.
