Fun art work­shops suited to all strokes

SALES agent for First Na­tional by day and an artist in her spare time, Sharon Dews­bury is also pas­sion­ate about teach­ing art.

Last Thurs­day, Ms Dews­bury en­joyed do­ing just that at the Art Whit­sun­days gallery and show­room.

“I love teach­ing,” she said. “If you want to learn some­thing, you teach it.”

Ms Dews­bury de­scribes her art work­shops as ca­sual, re­laxed and fun, and de­signed for pro­fes­sion­als and am­a­teurs alike.

“There is no pres­sure,” she said. “You don’t need to know what you are do­ing.”

Ms Dews­bury’s classes are among a se­ries of ex­cit­ing new work­shops planned at the gallery.

Oth­ers com­ing up in­clude Learn­ing to See to Achieve Like­ness with Linda For­rester on Sun­day, May 24, from 10am–2.30pm.

There will also be Wa­ter Colour Land­scapes with Sharon Dews­bury on Thurs­day, May 21, and Wa­ter Colour Land­scapes on Thurs­day, June 4, from 10am–12.30pm.

All the art work­shops are af­ford­ably priced, with tick­ets from $10–15 and all ma­te­ri­als in­cluded.
