Clinic helps make precious miracles

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY BUSINESS -

PAUL and Marie Ellis are cherishing their first precious weeks with newborn baby Lachlan – but these are weeks they may never have had without the help of the Whitsunday Health Clinic.

When the Cannonvale couple married in 2011 they wanted to start a family but two and-a-half years later they were no closer to creating that little bundle of joy.

Mrs Ellis said they’d exhausted every option available through the mainstream health system when an appointment with Rowena Kissun at the Whitsunday Health Clinic changed their lives.

Ms Kissun, a clinical naturopath with 10 years’ experience, took samples of Mrs Ellis’s blood, finding all the answers were there.

“(And) rather than sending her away with a bunch of test results, using Hemaview Live Blood analysis I projected her blood on the screen, magnified by 400 times, and I spent an hour showing Marie what improvements we needed to make to her blood to help her naturally conceive a healthy baby,” she said.

Mrs Ellis immediately embarked on a five-month journey combining naturopathy with the ancient art of acupuncture.

Whitsunday Health Clinic acupuncturist Bianca Zeinstra said both therapies worked in harmony and were about balancing the body.

“Just like planting a seed, naturopathy is the fertiliser and acupuncture is the water,” she explained.

The result for Mr and Mrs Ellis was a little pink line on a pregnancy test and the birth of their beautiful baby boy on May 6, 2015.

Gazing lovingly at her son last week, Mrs Ellis said she had never given up hope.

“But once I started seeing Rowena, I felt like ‘why didn’t I come here first’,” she said.

Ms Kissun said it was outcomes like this “that make me understand why I exist”.

The Whitsunday Health Clinic offers scientifically verified prescription-only supplements and can be contacted on 4946 7910.
