Croc rock to take over on Sundays

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL -

THE temperature may have dropped come evening, but it’s fun in the sun all year round for Cannonvale’s Club Croc Hotel.

The hotel’s family fun day is back on Sunday with a special fundraising twist.

Ethan Davis has made his mark on the hearts of Whitsunday locals.

He and his three-year-old brother Kaiden were born with a rare genetic condition called Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), for which there is no cure.

While Kaiden has stabilised, Ethan has been in a critical condition.

With life-saving treatment more than an hour away, the community recently got behind the young family to help them relocate to Mackay.

And the generosity hasn’t stopped there with Club Croc dedicating their monthly event to the Davis family.

Hotel manager Nathan Robinson said Ethan was in a situation where he needed the support of many people.

“We have a few extra exciting things because of Ethan,” he said.

Sunday’s special event will include additional face painting, fairy floss and snow cones. There will also be a prize auction and lucky door prizes.

The jumping castle will re- turn and favourite local musician Nathan Kennedy will hit the stage, guitar in hand, with his easy-listening style.

The event begins at midday with Nathan bringing the tunes at 1pm.

SEASONED PERFORMER: Local musician Nathan Kennedy will be performing at Club Croc on Sunday.
