WINTER? Don’t you mean the season of Netflix, hot chocolate and track pants?
Here are four steps to making the most of the cooler climate.
Change your mind. Winter isn’t just about cold weather, it’s a whole new season. Embrace the time of year by sitting down and revisiting your goals, then plan out what you’d like to accomplish during the next few months.
Take up a winter sport. If you’re a competitive type, why not try a new sport? Okay so we’re on the wrong part of the world to take up skiing but the Whitsunday PCYC offers a wonderful array of indoor sports.
Get creative at home. Perhaps the gym can be more of a hassle when it is cold outside. Perhaps putting on your runners when it’s still dark outside is not quite up your alley. Instead, work out at home, where’s it’s cosy and warm.
Optimise your outfit. If nothing can keep out of the gym and away from your goals, then just dress right. A thin synthetic material, such as polypropylene, to draw sweat away from your body.
