Council wants to develop an international export hub at the Whitsunday Coast Airport. What are your views?
Ree Johnson, Cannonvale:
So long as it's just goods and nothing else, it's a good idea. Let's not overcrowd the place.
Bailey Von-Peppa, Airlie Beach:
It should keep the trucks off the highway. Our roads are not equipped to deal with such heavy vehicles. There's trucks all over the place.
Alan Winch, Airlie Beach:
It would be excellent for the area. It would provide jobs and ease the egress for exporters.
Raul Norrlin, Cannonvale:
Why not, we need the stuff. Direct imports will hopefully make it a bit cheaper and push down the freight cost.
Adam Spicer, Cannonvale:
Anything that is going to help local businesses is a good thing.
Helen Pike, Cannonvale:
I think if it makes freight cheaper and all the products coming in pass customs, then it's a good thing.
John Bee, Cannonvale:
I really don't care either way. They're not going to give me anything out of it.
