Slow travel with a postie’s notes

SHE’S been there and she’s done that, but now Jac­qui Kennedy is check­ing out her own backyard and at a slower pace “and I can’t imag­ine do­ing any­thing else,” said the ad­ven­turer who pulled into town on Fri­day.

The web designer turned travel blog­ger spends most of her days cruis­ing at 70km per hour and tak­ing in her sur­round­ings.

She has be­come known for her un­usual mode of trans­port – a Honda CT 110 postie bike called “Mo”.

Orig­i­nally from Syd­ney, Ms Kennedy has been on the road since Oc­to­ber 2013, even cel­e­brat­ing her 51st birth­day in some of Australia’s most stunning land­scapes.

While on the road, Ms Kennedy is aided with her lap­top and has cre­ated a strong fol­low­ing with her blog “Postie Notes”.

Here in the Whit­sun­days Ms Kennedy has so far vis­ited the Dingo Beach pub and Hy­de­away Bay.

She stayed at Whit­sun­day Vista Re­sort and vis­ited the Great Bar­rier Reef with Cruise Whit­sun­days on their fa­mous Reef­sleep.
