WHITSUNDAY locals Janelle Eastwood and Shona Russell have wrapped up their final fundraiser for the Tour de Cure Signature Tour 2015, amassing a whopping $43,900 between them.

“Shona and I feel so proud to be part of a small but overwhelmingly generous Whitsunday community,” Ms Eastwood said.

“We want to thank everyone who got behind us and let them know that... it is making a difference.”

Ms Eastwood and Ms Russell were part of the 110strong tour that rode 1340km from Adelaide to Melbourne in late April.

“It was an amazing experience – tough, emotional and challenging personally, but overwhelmingly humbling to be part of something giving back to small communities,” Ms Eastwood said.

The last fundraiser for the tour was drawn on Monday afternoon. Liz Muller won the Thermomix, Claire Storace won second prize of a ThermoServer and Kim Connell nabbed the third prize of a ThermoMat.
