Fame, fortune for Wild Ones?

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY KIDS -

A GROUP of Whitsunday kids could soon pop up on our televisions.

The Wild Ones had several children attending the opening of BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Caravan Park’s water park last Saturday, which coincided with the filming of the venue’s new television commercial.

While the ad still has to go through the production stag- es and be edited, it would be a thrill for the young Wild Ones to see themselves on the big screen.

“It’s going to be awesome if they get on,” Wild Ones’ co-ordinator Ron Petterson said.

“It was a really good day and the kids had a ball getting to use the water park.

“They even got to dunk the mayor (Jenny Whitney) and the councillor (Jan Clifford).”

Last weekend the Wild Ones took on the Obstacles Gone Mad! Whitsunday challenge and there’s a camping trip planned in the coming weeks.

The Wild Ones get together for weekly activities, traditionally held at the Whitsunday Sportspark on a Thursday from 5.30pm.
