Prac­tice looms this Sun­day for the rid­ers

THERE is a prac­tice day on this Sun­day for Su­per­mo­tard race bikes from 7.30am.

Rid­ers can nom­i­nate on the day for Sun­day’s prac­tice that is strictly open to race bikes only.

Lo­cal com­peti­tors are gear­ing up for the Na­tional Su­per­moto Cham­pi­onships in New­cas­tle next week.

Race sec­re­tary Mungo McMur­trie ex­pects around 10 lo­cal rid­ers to com­pete in the Aus­tralian ti­tles.

How­ever this prac­tice day is open to all rid­ers with race bikes from begin­ners to pro­fes­sion­als to hit the bi­tu­men and have a go – in a non-com­pet­i­tive and sup­port­ive en­vi­ron­ment.

All is quiet on the Whit­sun­day Race­way front for the Su­per­mo­tards with just sev­eral prac­tice days con­firmed over the next few months.

Su­per­mo­tards will have of­fi­cial prac­tice days on July 5 and Au­gust 2.

In Septem­ber rid­ers will fight it out in round three of the Club Cham­pi­onships and in Oc­to­ber the race­way will play host to the Queens­land Su­per­moto Cham­pi­onships on from 2-4.
