Get a taste of the Micka vibe

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL. -

ADDING to the list of dynamic venues in the Whitsundays for the ultimate Sunday session experience is the Whitsunday Arts and Cultural Centre.

This Sunday, they proudly host the return of Micka Scene, who is the frontman and soul behind popular Byron Bay troupe Pacha Mama.

Micka Scene is loved for his raw and emotive shows.

This unmistakable voice, pieced together with slide guitar riffs, brings a rock, roots and ska/ reggae vibe unlike no other.

He’s dubbed a pioneer of the drumming combination of the Cajan Kick and Snare.

This multi-talented artist also produced Pacha Mama’s first album which has been played on radio in 28 countries including Tri- ple J and Nova in Australia.

He has also blasted across the waves at the Quiksilver Pro surf comps around the globe and was nominated for three music awards.

With some of the catchiest and most eclectic songwriting on the scene, he has also been described as “the most underrated Aussie artist of current times” by Canada’s Ion Magazine.

The Whitsunday Arts and Culture Centre (WACC) invites everyone for a cool Sunday afternoon session with world-class music and local support acts.

Tickets can be pre-booked on the WACC’s website for $10 or purchased on the door for $12.
