Whitsunday Times - - CHILL. -

COMING off the widely successful launch of the Whitsunday Sailing Club’s open mic session, round three of the music-filled afternoons will kick off this Sunday from 1pm.

This Sunday the club will host Mackay musician Mickey Muso.

Originally from Sydney, the super cool dude is making waves in the Mackay music scene.

With an acoustic guitar, effects pedal and a variety of foot percussion, Mickey brings a distinctly rock ‘n’ roll feel to each and every show.

His influences include Metallica, The Angels, Rose Tattoo, The Baby Animals, Matchbox 20, Jack Johnson and Xavier Rudd.

Do you fancy yourself a singing star, a virtuoso instrumentalist, or just love belting out a good tune for others to enjoy?

The Whitsunday Sailing Club’s open mic sessions are open to all budding and professional musicians in Airlie Beach and out of town.

The sessions will even host acts from the Airlie Beach Festival of Music. Sign up on the day and let the children run loose on the jumping castle.

Musicians are just required to bring their own instruments to hook up to the PA available.

READY TO ROCK: Mickey Muso has been making wave in Mackay and will play in Airlie Beach this Sunday.
