Sailors head to Tinaroo
IT WAS a great long weekend for local off beach sailors who travelled to Tinaroo for one of the four major off beach regattas on the North Queensland racing scene.
Tinaroo Sailing Club on the Atherton Tableland provided an idyllic lakeside setting for the 65 dingy and catamaran sailors who took part.
Juniors revelled in the strong winds in open bics and Sabots while the youths from Yachting Queensland's programme “pathways to excellence” were impressive in the racing. The senior divisions comprised A class and Nacra Catamarans, Lasars, Tasars, 29ers ,505's Feva 100's and RS Feva's.
