BRUSH up on your knowledge for the Zonta Club of the Whitsunday’s first trivia night of the year.
The much-loved event returns this Saturday night to the Airlie Beach Bowls Club and is set to get brains ticking.
This year the Zonta members have introduced a couple of new categories to challenge participants.
As well as the usual sport and music categories, attendees can expect a round of “what’s the main ingredient” which is sure to get foodies whooshing to the buzzer. There’s also the “woman to women” category, so those wanting a good score had better start familiarising them- selves with those female trailblazers. Other categories will include “around the state” and “picture recognition” but Zonta member Kerrie Adam said she couldn’t give too much more away. Money raised on the night will go towards Zonta’s local projects including a new one called the special assistance committee, whereby young women can apply for education bursaries as well as special and individual assistance. Tickets for Saturday’s trivia night are $15 per head and the evening can host tables for a maximum of eight.
