Ahoy me hearties! School sheds light on kid cancer
CANNONVALE State School’s excellent behaviour meant no one had to walk the plank on Friday for Dress like a Pirate Day.
Instead it was all party, party, party, when their first lunch break turned into a pirate disco at the school’s hall.
The day was organised to raise money for research into the prevention and cure of childhood brain tumours.
The school raised $656.20 through a gold coin donation.
It was a great effort from 618 students.
Even the school’s teachers and staff joined in on the costume fun.
Lana Taylor, Leila Pannett, Sienna Pannett, Jade Healey, Indianna Townsend and Isabelle Kratz from Grade 3 dressed like pirates for their last day of school for the week at Cannonvale State School.
