Man fined for hav­ing re­stricted medicines

A 51-YEAR-OLD man found with seven types of re­stricted drugs has been fined $550.

Wil­liam Michael Buder was es­corted by po­lice to the Proser­pine Mag­is­trate’s Court on Mon­day.

He pleaded guilty charged.

The court was told his Air­lie Beach home was searched at 4.20pm on May 28.

Pros­e­cu­tor El­iz­a­beth Smith said po­lice found

as 28 Vi­a­gra tablets and small quan­ti­ties of six other types of re­stricted drugs.

The court heard Buder was on a sus­pended sen­tence at the time, im­posed in the Mackay Mag­is­trate’s Court just last month.

The sus­pended sen­tence was for charges of com­mon as­sault, un­law­ful wound­ing and go­ing armed to cause fear af­ter an in­ci­dent in Air­lie Beach on April 6 last year.
