All aboard bidding for retro boat

Whitsunday Times - - LOCAL NEWS -

CANNONVALE Marine’s inhouse boat show returns this year to help celebrate 70 years of Quintrex boats with a charitable twist.

With Proserpine Whitsunday Junior Rugby League members manning the barbecue, the boat show will be a fun day with a large display of Quintrex boats and live entertainment.

As well as giving away a Quintrex dinghy package valued at over $12,000, Cannonvale Marine will be auctioning another Quintrex dinghy package with proceeds being donated back to the community.

With the help of Kevin Smith, from TK's Body Repairs, and Paul Dray, from Enviroblast Whitsunday, the dinghy has been rejuvenated and painted in retro colours.

The Quintrex 3.5 metre, deep V, flared bow dinghy is powered with a new 15hp Vortex outboard. The package, with a value of $5860, will be fully registered on a new Quintrex galvanised trailer.

Cannonvale Marine is asking for funding submissions from interested sporting clubs and other not-for-profit organisations.

The money raised from the auction will be divided and donated to three clubs or organisations chosen by a small panel of community members.

Submissions can be sent to sales@cannonvalemarine.com.au.

The boat show will be held at Cannonvale Marine at 14 McIntosh Drive on Saturday, July 11 from 10am–4pm.

Quintrex representatives will also be there on the day to address any inquiries.
