O’Keefe re­turns to KC’s next week

DAUGH­TER of leg­endary Aus­tralian mu­si­cian Johnny O’Keefe and a bril­liant per­former in her own right, Vicky O’Keefe is com­ing to town.

Per­form­ing at KC’s Grill and Bar, O’Keefe is a guar­an­teed crowd pleaser with her soul­ful guitar tunes.

The muso be­gan her life­long love af­fair with mu­sic at the age of five, be­gin­ning with pi­ano be­fore fol­low­ing in her fa­ther’s foot­steps with the six-string.

KC’s Grill and Bar owner Peter Chen­gody said their live mu­sic pro­gram was all about giv­ing their clien­tele a great night out.

“We’re try­ing to give pa­trons a won­der­ful lis­ten­ing ex­pe­ri­ence by bring­ing some of the best artists from around Aus­tralia to Air­lie Beach,” he said.

“Vicky’s got Aus­tralian rock and roll roy­alty in her blood.”

O’Keefe has used this mu­si­cal her­itage as her muse with tributes to her late fa­ther of­ten be­ing a theme in her work, how­ever the singer/ song­writer has shown she’s a tal­ented mu­si­cian of her own ac­cord hav­ing sup­ported such acts as Suzi Qua­tro and Mid­night Oil.
