Fleming’s day out on the course
TOM Fleming won a string of prizes at the Proserpine Golf Club on Tuesday, led by a comfortable win in the 18-hole competition.
Fleming scored 38 points to beat a strong field of 27 players – one of the biggest for the year.
John Grosskreutz, Harry Gellatly (34), Trevor Paroz, Russell Reardon, Bill Woods (32), Warren Deighton and Dave Morris (30) finished in the ball rundown for the 18-hole competition.
Capping off a winning day, Fleming also won a nearest the pin flag, while Tina Badenhorst took the ladies’ prize.
The nine-hole competition saw Katherine Borer victorious with a round of 19.
Bill Woods, Warren Deighton, Russell Reardon, John Grosskreutz (18) and Caroline Awdry (17) finished in the ball rundown.
Peter Browning and Caroline Awdry won the pin shots for the nine-hole competition.
Next week the Vets will play a normal round at the Proserpine Golf Club on Tuesday.
