Recycled fashion delights and excites
PREPARE to be astounded by the unique and innovative designs on display at this year’s Wilmar Sugar Wearable Art Parade.
The parade will be held at the foreshore beside the Airlie Creek bridge, near the central car park, from 1pm on Saturday, August 8.
Started by Annie Lloyd-Lewis in the late 1990s, the wearable art parade was continued by Sian Pole, who then handed over the reins to mum and cur- rent organiser Pam Pole in 2009.
“I’ve loved it because I saw how much pleasure and how much incentive it gave to my daughter, and I wanted to see this continue for other students in the Whitsundays,” Mrs Pole said.
Late entries are being accepted for the wearable art parade. For more information, phone Pam Pole on 0448 870 482 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
