Stop the junkets

Whitsunday Times - - LOCAL NEWS -

THE debacle in Canberra (concerning politicians’ travel expenses) exposes another rorting of the systems by our elected politicians.

I believe it is time to audit all politicians at all levels of government regarding the use of our money.

In this day of electronic communications why are there so many junkets?

I also deplore the use of public monies to pay for the travel and accommodation of their spouses and partners.

Us ordinary people must pay for our partners, if we wish their company at any venue, why not they?
