Let us in
WHEN Mayor Whitney was first elected she seemed to foster an open form of doing business.
She now likes to do things behind closed doors.
While she may think this okay, many of her ratepayers think otherwise.
If you have nothing to hide let us all in on the goings on.
She has now agreed to listen to submissions from various groups.
While this is a step in the right direction, why can she not have an open meeting when all and sundry can have a say?
Or does she not get on with all and sundry?
Remember all and sundry voted for you and they can vote you out again.
Sucking up to big business and doing what they want is not what we mere minnows want.
Most ratepayers came to Airlie Beach for its village atmosphere.
We do not want the place to become another Gold Coast.
