PBs fall­ing for our Frogs

The Whit­sun­day Frogs re­turned strong swim­ming re­sults last Thurs­day night, with 19 of the 38 swim­mers re­turn­ing per­sonal bests at the weekly club ses­sion.

Lila Fend­ley im­proved her 25m freestyle time by 4.09 sec­onds, Sari Goodall recorded an im­pres­sive 40.28 sec­onds in the 25m but­ter­fly, and Eve Wheeler dom­i­nated her 25m breast­stroke to im­prove her PB by 2.94.

In the ju­nior age group (9–12 years) im­prove­ments came from Ri­ley Borellini (1.25.91 min­utes in the 100m freestyle), Bella His­cox (33.06 sec­onds in the 25m but­ter­fly), and Ge­or­gia Reid (7.8 sec­onds PB in her 100m freestyle).

Alice Telford was an­other to im­press on Thurs­day, clock­ing 27.13 sec­onds in her 25m breast­stroke, while Nick Becker’s 36.47 ef­fort in the 50m but­ter­fly was good enough for a PB.

Club pres­i­dent Sue McDon­ald wel­comed new swim­mers and said: “I hope they enjoy the per­sonal chal­lenges and re­wards swim­ming can of­fer.”

The Frogs will jump back in the wa­ter tonight at the Proser­pine pool, tak­ing on their weekly club night.

Those in­ter­ested in join­ing the club are wel­come to at­tend.

Swim­mers are en­cour­aged to ar­rive at 5.30pm.
