In other news, an innovative competition called Beat The Pro was launched on Satur- day, whereby club pro Kane Nusteling challenges competitors to beat his score throughout the day’s play.
On Saturday Nusteling three-putted one hole, giving him 35 points, which allowed 20 of the 45 players participating to beat him and win a Titlist ball each. Meanwhile, Thursday hosted more than 50 players for a versus par competition. The big winner on the day was division two’s John Roser, who carded +7 to finish ahead of Mike George (+1). The division one title went to Jim Cochrane ahead of Michael Ward and Chris Weigand, while the rundown included Warren Deighton, Pascal Neunreuther (+1) and John Grosskreutz (0).
